Some people love a fresh start.
Me? Not really. Honestly… no.
I find comfort in what I know.
I like the familiar. The routine. The same old, same old.
It feels safe. And safe feels good.
But today felt different.
Today was a shift.
I got the keys to my new office,
and I spent a solid three hours scrubbing the windows and mopping the floor.
Yep, you read that right.
Three. Hours.
Wiping and more wiping (to the point I nearly passed out.)
And yet, when I finally stood still for a moment,
surrounded by the scent of lavender and eucalyptus,
I felt something.
This is a new chapter.
A scary one. A shaky one.
There have been a few almost-breakdowns already.
But also? It’s the change I needed.
And I’m really hoping people feel that too.
My body’s sore. I’m absolutely dreading the next round of cleaning.
But this first step?
It was bold. It was strong.
And I’m proud of it.
