본 프로그램은 몬테소리의 자기 주도적 학습과 바칼로레아(IB)의 깊이 있는 탐구 과정을 기반으로 합니다. 이에 더해 뇌과학, 인지심리학, 미네르바식 사고, 언어심리학의 연구 결과를 접목하여 우리 아이들이 영어 발화에 대한 두려움을 없애고 논리적이고 자신감 있게 영어로 회화할 수 있도록 설계되었습니다.
1. 배경지식 & 기초 학습
빅희 선생님의 자체 교재 활용: 선생님이 직접 제작한 교재를 사용하여 배경지식(Contextual Knowledge)을 먼저 습득하고, 영어 소리 인지(Phonics & Auditory Skills)를 강화합니다. 이는 몬테소리의 감각 교육과 바칼로레아의 지식 기반 탐구를 반영할 뿐만 아니라, 뇌과학에서 강조하는 '시냅스 연결'을 촉진하여 새로운 언어 정보를 장기 기억으로 전환하는 인지심리학적 접근입니다.
어휘 및 문장 구조의 깊은 이해: 단순 암기를 넘어, 단어의 뜻을 파악하고 해당 단어를 활용할 수 있는 맥락적인 예문을 스스로 만들어 봅니다. (바칼로레아: 개념 기반 학습, 언어심리학: 정보의 유의미한 부호화)
단어-문장-프로젝트의 연결: 학습한 단어와 문장의 형태를 기반으로 작은 프로젝트를 수행하며 학습의 결과를 실제로 발표하고 사용합니다. 스스로 성취를 증명하는 과정은 아동 심리학에서 말하는 '자기효능감(Self-efficacy)'을 높여 회화에 대한 강한 자신감으로 이어집니다. (바칼로레아: 지식의 적용)
2. 미디어 활용 및 자기 표현
다양한 미디어 콘텐츠를 통한 확장: 다양한 영어 미디어 콘텐츠(영상, 기사 등)를 활용하여 교재의 본문과 관련된 심화 내용을 함께 익히고, 실제 언어 사용의 사례를 관찰합니다. 시각과 청각을 동시에 자극하는 다중 감각 학습은 뇌의 언어 처리 신경망을 더 넓고 깊게 활성화합니다.
자기 생각 정리 및 비판적 수용: 학생들은 미디어 속 내용을 비판적으로 분석하고, 본인의 생각을 영어로 정리하여 토론합니다. 이는 언어심리학에서 강조하는 상위 인지(Metacognition) 능력을 발달시켜 스스로의 언어 사용을 모니터링하고 교정할 수 있게 합니다.
디지털 환경에서의 논리적 말하기 훈련: YouTube 영상 또는 Roblox와 같은 친숙한 플랫폼을 활용하여 영어 단어와 문장을 논리적인 순서대로 구성하여 말하는 훈련을 집중적으로 진행합니다. 머릿속의 생각을 논리적인 언어 구조로 뱉어내는 심리언어학적 출력(Output) 훈련입니다.
3. 영어식 사고 및 질의응답
비판적 사고 질문(CTQs) & 관심 분야 토론: Critical Thinking Questions(CTQs) 또는 학생의 개인적인 관심 분야를 다루는 질문에 대해 영어로 깊이 있게 대답하는 훈련을 합니다. 지속적인 자극과 반응을 통해 뇌의 신경가소성(Neuroplasticity)을 활용하여 모국어 개입 없이 영어로 즉각 사고하는 '영어 뇌'를 구축합니다.
복습과 낭독을 통한 내면화: 수업이 끝난 후에는 자기 주도적 복습과 낭독 훈련을 통해 학습한 단어와 문장을 완전히 자기 것으로 만듭니다. 반복적인 입 밖으로의 발화는 언어의 자동화(Automatization) 과정을 거쳐 유창성을 극대화합니다.
간결한 피드백 및 자율적 점검: 간단한 과제와 복습 내용을 학생 스스로 점검하게 하고, 선생님과 질의응답 시간을 통해 학습의 누락된 부분을 채웁니다.
최대한 영어 사용 환경 조성: 수업 시간에 최대한 영어로 대화하도록 몰입(Immersion) 환경을 제공합니다. 이는 심리학에서 말하는 정의적 여과기(Affective Filter, 언어 학습 시 느끼는 불안감)를 낮추어, 틀리는 것을 두려워하지 않고 영어를 뱉어내는 자신감을 심어줍니다.

학생의 관심분야와 배우고자 하는 영역의 Planner를 만들며, 참고 교재 목록을 선정함 (교재/자료 구입은 필수가 아니며, 참고용으로만 사용되니, 구입을 원하시는 분들은 개별 구매 하셔야 합니다.)
수업:
주 1회, 1회당 40분, 80% 영어로 진행 (토론과 대화를 하다 보면 최대 70분까지 수업이 길어질 수 있습니다. 스케줄 조정 시 참고해 주세요.)

주 1회, 1회당 40분 영어와 한국어를 5:5로 진행 (초급 레벨에 해당되는 친구들은 선생님이 맞춤형으로 조절하며 수업을 진행합니다.)

주 1회 소그룹(4:1) 북미 학교 + IB 학교 수업으로 진행 (90% 영어 현지 학교 수업, 영어, 사회, 과학 교재들로 수업 진행합니다.)
과제: 매주 4개의 과제가 나가며, 학생이 자기 주도적으로 과제를 완성해야 합니다.
더욱더 활발한 영어 활용을 위해서는 수업 시간에 배운 내용, 교재 본문, 단어들을 하루에 한 번 복습하는 것을 권장합니다.
수업료:
